Deleting your Havenia account
This page explains how to request deletion of your Havenia account and the data attached to it. It is readable without an account and without installing the app.
From the app, in four steps
This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately:
My Island → Settings → Manage my data → Delete my account.
You are asked to confirm. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: it erases the account itself, not merely a flag. The files you uploaded are erased along with it.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, write to ohavenia@gmail.com from the account’s email address, with the subject “Delete my Havenia account”. We reply and carry out the erasure within one month at the latest, as required by the General Data Protection Regulation.
Writing from the account’s address lets us confirm the request is really yours. If that is not possible, say so in your message and we will tell you how to proceed.
What is deleted
The account and the personal data attached to it: your profile, your journal, your moods and wellbeing questionnaires, your messages, your posts, your stories, your bottles, your goals, your badges, and the files you uploaded.
What remains
A record of the erasure itself is kept, to prove it took place. It no longer contains your identifier or your address. The detail of data categories and their retention is in the privacy policy.
Export before you go
The same screen in the app offers to export your data before deleting the account. Once deletion is done, nothing can be recovered.
